Car boot finds

I returned to the Chiswick car boot this month for the first time since I moved to North London. Its not as easy to get to now I don't live round the corner but definitely worth the journey.

Here are a couple of the things I bought.

The Poole Delphis plate I think was painted by Angela Wyburgh in the late 1960s. The cup and saucer are Midwinter, they are in the fashion shape but I haven't been able to identify the pattern.

 

 

Tip Top Table Sale at The Step this week

Last Saturday was the last North London Vintage Market till September but this week I will be selling at a new venue, a lovely bar called the Step on Myddleton Road.

The Tip Top Table sale takes place every second Thursday of the month. It's on this Thursday and starts at 7.30pm.

It was great to be back at the North London Vintage Market last Saturday.

After what seems like ages I will be returning to the North London Vintage Market for their next sale on 1 June.

I haven't sorted out exactly what I will be taking yet, but these are a few bits and pieces of ceramics that might be appearing.

 

 

 

 

Ally Pally finds

It was the giant Ally Pally antique fair this morning. I was quite restrained and only bought these three things!

Dartington daisy bowl

This is another one of my Rye finds.

It is a large Dartington glass 'daisy' bowl designed by Frank Thrower. I have had quite a few of these before but this is the first one I have seen in the grey coloured glass known as 'midnight'.

I am told these are quite rare and I think it probably dates from the 1960s as the colour was discontinued from 1967.

Cinque Ports Pottery

It would be wrong to go on holiday to Rye and not buy something from the Rye potteries.

I bought this little pot in a junk shop in Hastings on our minimoon. From the back stamp it looks like an early piece made by the Cinque Ports Pottery between 1956 and 1960.
